CorubaCoruba New Zealand's favourite rum since 1967! Yep, New Zealanders and especially sailors just love their Coruba Jamaica Rum, and it's little wonder when you think of those full, dark flavours of the Caribbean in every sip. But here's something we bet you didn't know: New Zealanders enjoy more Coruba than any other country! That's a pretty good effort considering the first exports of Coruba only landed on our shores in 1967. Word quickly spread of the delicious taste of Coruba and before long, it was being shipped all over the show, introducing the unique taste to Bluff oysterman, Canterbury sheep shearers, Wellington politicians, Hamilton cow cockies, and Auckland...fellas. And so the power of Coruba grew throughout the land and today we are proud to say it is the second largest selling spirit brand in all of New Zealand. Whew! Not a bad effort at all. |

The New Zealand International Yachting TrustThe New Zealand International Yachting Trust (now generally referred to as the NZL Yachting Trust) is an independent trust established in 1988 by well known yachtsmen Mr Don St Clair Brown MBE and Sir Tom Clark KB. Its objective is to assist in funding New Zealanders competing in Olympic and other top level international yachting competitions. It is registered under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957. The founders believed that if New Zealand is to maintain its place as one of the top yachting nations in the world it is essential that our sailors have adequate opportunity to compete successfully in international championships. As New Zealand is very remote geographically from traditional centres of competition, the high cost of travel and transport, and ever increasing campaign costs, place our sailors at a considerable competitive and financial disadvantage. |
